Whitera still very solid in these games, and he proved that even if he is a bit too much fragile and predictable in the early game, he is just as good (and even better? looking at game 1 and 2) than MC late game.







Seriously, whitera deserved to win this. MC has barely shown much more than well executed cheese... Very well played by White-Ra, too bad he lost...



Well, it was finely analyzed by MC. He noticed that when matched dragged, Ra was getting him, so he went on the aggressive. You gotta hand it to him that it was a good view of Whitera's style, and that it got him the tourney. Now that kinda made me cringe when i saw the livestream :(



The probe getting in MCs base in the one game was the only reason he won it. It was a good move, but probably would have lost had he not been able to warp in to the probe line.



To win like that is like a boxer pulling a gun in the last round. I get that even cheese is a legitimate strategy, it just seem tasteless and cowardly.

What a lame win by Mc, if u gotta win like that, ur only in it for the money and not the Esports side of it all...



For 15 grand you wouldn't go for the quick and certain win because of Esports honor? White ra was opening the same way every game, and ultimately got pwned because of it.



MC's psychological gamble in the last game was superb. WhiteRa was caught totally off guard. He didn't scout early because of the predictable spawn locations and when he did scout, it was a "standard" scout straight over to MC's base to see what was going on...and consequently did not see the cheese. That was his mistake, not sniffing out that he should scout for cheese FIRST.



You can pick on MC for cheesing, but he won with more than cheese. He did it exactly at the right time and the right way. It was brilliant and you can't take that away from him.



That said, I wanted WhiteRa to win so bad! Damnit!

I totally agree with Kmisho64 here.



and thats why you play best of X and not just a single game ... MC still won 3 games and 2 of those were very standard.



although I feel the pain of cheesy play like this, I feel like its part of the game :(



Map design can pervent or enhance cheese. Making the spawnlocations more predictable can favor cheese a lot.
