I just realized how much irrelevant and off tangent comments tastless makes during this match. All these years listening to him with Artosis, it never occured til this match...LOL. His gameplay sense is so elementary, so opposite of Day9. But can't deny his part and connections with starcraft e-sport.
Fun Note:
I bet there are many potential casters just from members of sc2casts site alone. After years of reading the comments from endless matches, there are many possessing sharp mind with analytical game senses. If members here have Starcraft2 matches that they have casted, share your link.(If it is allowed)

I agree but you have to keep in mind that there is more to being a good caster than knowing much about the game. You also need entertaining qualities to not bore the spectators to death, you need to be able to keep on talking while there is not much action etc.

Wolf in game one sounds crazy too, bad casting as well. He sounds like he is on a speed drug, not like him at all. No fun between him and tasteless.
They didn't mention that Impact ran banes into a empy bunker... waste... didn't mention it... I am shocked... wolf sounds like he is high.. just saying.

@spark6878 it's funny how something switches in your mind and suddenly you start hearing this guy in a different way ...
For me, this happened a long time ago, probably as early as the first season of the GSL back in 2010, which ruined it for me pretty badly ever since.
It's not only Tasteless though, there are many others through the years - HD and Husky being the obvious examples.

actually i just seen tasteless solo cast in one of the recent games and he was quite good.

@JonEasy "You also need entertaining qualities..." Completely agree. I was just curious about many others that have done casting in early days, as santah mentioned HD and Husky "era", that have not received the exposure they deserved. But your point well taken.
@santha Ha! HD and Husky! I went through similar phase as you. Many casters have gone or faded away. But there is one caster that I personally enjoyed in the early days and that is Eeonshikino. Amazingly, he is still casting.

definitely some cranked up dialogue but also great games here. Still, good insights.

yeah i honestly don't like these guys as a pair. its not enough to ruin the vod, but tasteless definitely overstated the "oh man flash in brood war wuz so gud" point. both these guys need the mic time a little too much too.

@spark6878 I have always enjoyed the Tasteless and Artosis combination... they have contributed so much to SC2 esports. I like Tasteless because I find him very relatable. You call his gameplay sense "elementary", but at the very end of the video he gives a great analysis of why Flash pulled all the way back into his main base and defended in the way that he did. I understand where you're coming from, since he doesn't analyze like Artosis does. But that's why they balance each other out well.
Personally, I don't need profound analysis of each player's every move at all minutes of the game. In fact, I dislike when casters extrapolate so much on some tiny decision or move. I want an entertaining commentary, a few predictions, some strategy thoughts and the pair always delivers.
