We've seen this from Innovation before. A bit surprised the casters didn't touch on it. If Innovation is thrown off his gameplan, he just stalls out and sits in the middle of the map doing nothing.
I can't say I ever hopped on the Innovation hype train. To me, this is a huge weakness (again, surprised they didn't talk about it). If you think about it, the players which consistently get deep into tournaments or win them, they are typically the players who can adapt on the fly. PartinG made a career out of it. SoS all-kills in Proleague. Life won several huge tournaments through scrappy games. Heck, to even add to the argument from an opposite perspective, the way CJ_HerO got out of his tiny slump a couple months ago was to... play more scrappy. Same thing with Rain.
(Although kudos to Innovation for his series against Zest, that was quite the beat down)

actually INnovation woulda killed SoS in the finals, it was unfortunate that INnoVation met life in this round. to me Life played it smart.. staying out of the radar losing games not doing well in recent tournaments proleague etc.. this is life style and everybody forgot about it.. if INnovation met life in the finals i dare say that INnovation would win the championship. Life had a ton of vods to study whereas INnovation was left in the dark.. so mind games and preperation life wins but toe to toe i think the Robot will actually win..

Insane how life plays like crap for 1/2 year and gets back to being a beast on the main tournament of the year. I also really like he's back at playing agressive and not trying to be a macro zerg as hard

Play like a beast? I'm not so sure. Life wins with early to mid game cheese, usually trying to surprise his opponent with an early pool or roach warren. All Innovation needed to do in this series was force it to late game. He didn't get a reaper on Terraform and paid the price of not seeing that early roach warren.

#8 maybe its because of game imbalance that forces zerg to act like this..?
zvt was broken since sc1 vanilla
