I think you're doing the same thing wrong that most bad players are. You're focusing on micro, and you think you lose the game due to unnecessary unit losses. Your main problem is your macro - if you had a decent build order and kept making marines and marauders, you'd have slaughtered him no matter how you micro. Don't get tanks, don't apply pressure, if you don't have the multi-tasking skills they require. Just learn ONE build order, and execute it well and you'll be at least mid diamond.
