I'm very happy to see PartinG return! He is one of those players thathas real style and character - able to make games enjoyable and alive in a way Life could (I miss him) as well as SoS, Reynor and to some extent Maru.
Most players have this magic only a very short while, like a peak, like zest, hero (you know which one), Byun and many others - but they seem to lose it again and never find it, increasingly "trying" which turnes their games increasingly mechanical.
I think it's similar to pro-athletes or great artists: once you become cought up in your own thoughts, you've lost the game and have lost the beauty. You need to have that moment you can forget and just let the game play itself - indeed, that 'jazz'.

You are right, Alcorto. There was also a zerg player called Catz that was also very creative with his builds and was able to surprise the opponent like Life or SoS. The others are pretty mechanical. And yet I prefer to watch SC 1 :)

Who is that awesome bald caucasian guy i always see at the GSL who once did that awesome fan interview and can be seen at the very end of this series on the far row grinning to the camera over someones head? Ide like to tell that guy he is Awesome. Your a great fan and seem cool, nice job forcing a compliment from some random bloke.

Thnx lbakyl, looking forward to looking up some Catz games!
If there are known such type of SC1 players, I'd love to (re)watch their work as well :)

as far as SC1, I remember FirebatHero having great fun/random play but he's probably most known for his celebrations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBuhwWV2-kM
