But no matter what idra just completely crushed adel that game, there was about 0 percent chance that he could win the way he was playing...i mean why NOT wall off against Z anyway. don't really know what he was thinking, but then again I'm not a pro...



I am not even sure this guy is at the pro level... not putting up a wall, against zerg on that small of a map with a really open natural. Not really surprised these games were as short as they were.

Adel is a pro and has facerolled many awesome gsl-competitors earlier.. but I agree on this game :P it was totally awful not walling and pushing with only sentries and some stalkers against a ton of zerg units.. no scouting whatsoever :( fail.. bigtime

No. No. No. Idra is one of THE best players of SC2. Period. Adelscott isn't even close to that. Popping THREE guardian shields because of 2 zerglings is just plain sloppy and has nothing to do with lag. I don't see why playing live or not makes any kind of difference.



@Petroz - Are you fucking serious? Adel wouldn't have a chance against IdrA live. IdrA smashes players like White-ra and KiwiKaki, and Adel is nowhere near their level.



Secondly, IdrA's response was completely rational - Adel had said in the Fnatic vs Millenium ace-match that all people from the us are retarded. Right after he tries to go for a blind all-in, and then blaming it on lag and saying that Kawaii is a bad sport for not gging.

@Gonzolicious - As the commentator above said, he just won the IGN Proleague, and the other reason for why people give a shit about him is because he is the only foreigner-zerg that's ever showed any form of positive results, extremely depressing, but people watch him because he is a god at this game, and the reason he isn't winning is most likely his race, which makes people side with his arguments.

Fwiffo: Name one other foreign zerg that's on the same level as IdrA, and who's won as much money as he has. IdrA's frustrations are not his own aswell, NesTea and FruitDealer share his opinions, NesTea himself has said that spawning close-position against toss on certain maps results in a loss. Note that these are two GSL-winners.



So are you actually implying that the ledge on the original Lost Temple was balanced? Were the back-rocks on the original Shakuras Plateu balanced? Blizz removed them because they were giving toss and terrans such an unfair advantage. You shouldn't take great offence in this, because even BW took about five years to balance.



IdrA's also stated why he chose zerg an why he keeps playing it: Because Artosis is an asshole, and because blizz will have to balance it sooner or later.



Also, it's quite funny that you keep Adel out of this, if anything, IdrA's earned his keep by being the most consistent foreigner in Code S (Jinro's botched it for quite some time now), he's won an MLG, several online-torunaments and LANs, whereas Adel just bm's the shit out of everyone without holding any massively impressive results.

BTW another non-korean Zerg player that did pretty well in GSL code S is Dimaga. So typical of Zerg player/fans : they know nothing about the game but they whine!



If anything Zerg is a race which take more time to master but when u do so it is (a little) Imba in my opinion:

The race with the best economy (train 3 or more drones at a time with each hatch - hatch costing less minerals) the best map control (creep tumor and flying units that give supply :OV - very fast units : lings) - and the race where tier 3 units are the most effecient ( how often do u see Carriers or Battle-Cruiser in 1v1 pro matches ?? .. i do see brood lords and Ultras very often) -

Bannelings and infestors having splash damage without friendly fire (unlike siege tanks and High Templars for Terrans and Protoss) - Static defenses .. that can actually move !!

etc .. etc..



Idra thinks he has to have 100% winning rate otherwise its the fault of the race he chose !! wut a dumb person

And also, was NesTea's competition really that stellar? MarineKing is great, but young and not really as "smart" as NesTea is. And InCa played like an idiot.. He didn't play in Code S, and look outside korea. How many zergs ahave you seen winning a tournament? There was Ret at assembly, and IdrA has won the IPL 1 and an MLG. I mean, look at the IEM qualifiers from earlier this year, not a single zerg had been able to qualify, doesn't this show something?



Stop being retarded on purpose, brood lords are a massive invcestment, and why you don't see BC/Carriers in 1v1's against Z is because lower tier units that are more cost-effective actually destroy them. It's way harder to control a good zerg army that a good toss army as collosi can abuse ledges, stalkers can blink and high templars can decimate entire armies. Zergs lategame is good, but it's a hell of a lot more fragile than any other of the race's.



Lol, he wants the game to be better than BW in the sense that luck and disgustingly easy tactics don't kill you early on. That's not asking too much.



Adelscott is even more bm than Idra with less skill. If I were Idra, I'd be angry too. Blaming the loss on lag is very bm. It's like saying Idra didn't win because of skill, but because of some unfair advantage he got from latency. Seriously wtf.



Adel played really bad, made to many mistakes, didn't scout, didn't wall off, etc. It's no surprise he lost, he would never win against any good zerg playing like he did and many of those mistakes, can't be blamed on lag..

I dont care 1 bit about idra the person, i like his games and his play style, like him commentating games too, his thoughts on the game balance is dead on too. there may be some fanboys who justify his bm, but that doesnt make any difference for me, his is valuable for the sc community. its not all roses.

For the record, unless you get 6/10 pooled, there's no reason to wall (it wastes mining time, makes your buildings vulnerable to raoches killing your cyber with an overlord spotting).



It so happened that Idra punished him for it in game 2 and he lost, but please realize that Adellscott is about oh, I don't know, 500 times the player you are. So how about when you see him make the same choice twice in a row, you try and use your capacity for abstract thought and ponder why he would do that. I suspect the fact that Idra generally plays a defensive macro style and rarely cheeses might have had something to do with it.



Btw, I've seen Huk also not wall initially against zerg, so this isn't completely rare or random. I'm sure there's some reasoning behind it.



I reakon the 3 GS's were a misclick where he intended to change his 3 gateways into warpgates- at that time WG tech had just finished, and he had 3 completed gateways.
