ret vs MC

game2 ret was noob... if u scout protoss expanding with six sentrys you better prepare your self:
- scout for proxy pylon, he did
- place 2 early spines, he didnt
- check exactly when he moves out or cancels nexus, he didnt
- place extra spines to protect your ramp from forcefields,he didnt



@shamelend .... what ya mean?, he had overlord watching the cancelation of the nexus + ling force to se when he moved out. he placed 4 spines when he canceled nexus... loosing to a perfect 4gate from MC doesn't make you a noob. Ret just got a little bit greedy, happens all the time for zerg players....



you can excuse someone for wanting to be a bit greedy against MC. Ret needed any edge he could get

@MrBubbels... spines take forever to build, so when you see so many sentrys place 2 ASAP protecting your ramp (not after he moves out as he did).
he didnt have lord watching nexus, he was preparing for stargate and he only reacted when army was near the xelnaga and that is too late. you can scout nexus by conctantly poking right side.
MC is known for his aggressive and early heavy sentry abuse and has pulled this move many times so ret should be expecting this in any small ramp map.

@jimbone: greedy i agree (he didnt saw sentrys when placed 3rd hatch), careless i dont (no early spines)

@MrBubbels: he needs to scout nexus getting canceled (easily done with lings), not the gases. ret lost because he wasnt expecting a push when mc does this strategy a lot.

hes a proplayer, there is a lot of money involved in these games. he should know mc's (one of the best protoss players in the world) moves prior to the match.
