I think this shows that Terran is not overpowered, it is Zerg that is underpowered. Excellent Viking micro during the early and mid air war allowed the defense against the brood lords to be sufficient to hold. I like the strategy of keeping a stockpile of vikings held back if they are not needed so that when you show them they are overwhelming ;-)
