Stephano... y u no go gglord+infestor???? Best unit combo in the game, great games though. Forgg is a beast

Stephano had some really uncharacteristic failures IMO. Game 2 seemed like an easy win, but he only made 2 spores, never moved them to protect his front, got supply blocked so hard he built 5 overlords at the same time, floated over 1000 minerals...
ForGG played ridiculously well of course. The guy's control was overall ridiculous.

Stephano bragged about not practicing at all for this tournament. facepalm

Insane last game, one of the best I've seen.

**Spoiler**
I think it took Stephano until he had roaches in ForGGs base in game two to remember that he had a hot date the night of the finals and decided to step out.
Yeah, I don't think there's any question that Stephano was the better player. He had game 2 won, but then misjudged the amount of damage that he had done with his aggression. ForGG had no choice but to all in, and Stephano just didn't prepare. Game 3 was lost from the 8 minute mark when he took so much damage from the initial harassment, but it still took ForGG until the 27 minute mark to kill him.

I actually believed in comeback in game 3 more than in one in game 2 )

The better player? The better player on the day is the winner. A misjudgment that costs you the game is poor play - fullstop. The better player; Buh!! You Stephano fanboys do like a good cry...

Is this the start of the EG curse for Stephano?

@Axiom
Better player as in Stephano just needed to make some slight adjustments to his playstyle and he would have won every game. ForGG would need a much greater overhaul to his playstyle to say the same thing.
If some ladder scrub beats DRG or MVP once on the ladder, do you conclude that he must be better than DRG/MVP and is therefore one of the best players in history? Because that is the kind of logic that you are using...

@ trevaur
You missed a crucial part of my logic: i.e the specific time factor 'on the day' as in - at the time. And to answer your question: Yes, a scrub is better than DRG or MVP 'on the day, at the time' if the scrub beats them on the latter.
That said, no one can deny that MVP and DRG (and MC) are overall the greatest players of WoL.
if you play DRG on ladder, you're a korean grandmaster. a korean GM probably would be appropriately impressed by some schmuck desperate to win an argument in a comment thread calling him a "scrub"

stop bickering like women
@Axiom: So, you demonstrate that you realize that there are 2 kinds of "better": being "better on the day" and being an overall better player. As you mentioned, MVP and DRG are the overall best players of WoL, and even if some scrub beats them that just means that they are "better on the day" and not necessarily better overall players.
Clearly, ForGG played "better on the day" than Stephano (because he won), but what I am claiming is that Stephano is an overall better player. So far, nothing that you have said has argued against this point.
