Finally we have got very good Zerg player, dispite ridiculously overpowered widowmines.

fuckin great play by the 16 year old
Life is the only one who can hang with the Kespa players... really shows his class. Its a shame a Zerg wins ANOTHER big event thought. I 100% seriously can't remember the last time a non-zerg won a big title.
@FLiP: Except Life was the only Zerg in the top 8 at MLG Dallas and that there have been plenty of Protoss winners in recent tournaments (http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Major_Tournaments). The only race that looks like it might be weak is Terran and even then it's unclear if that's strongly correlated with race weaknesses versus player abilities. Unless you bring some statistical rigorousness into the fray, comments like yours mean absolutely nothing. After all, Flash is still in training :)
So fed up with zerg dominance.... The terran race is just to weak..
Flash looks tired... I'm hoping in future tournaments he seems a bit happier and has more success.
#6 - I hope you're kiddin' with "... the only race that looks weak is Terran..."
Great games.
@TheWhiskey: Nope, but like I said, I haven't done any statistical analysis on it and I don't plan on doing so. Beyond that, there's no way to really conclusively say that a certain race is weak. Even consensus can be wrong. Just look at the 2000 & 2004 Presidential elections :)
Seriously? Finally we have got very good Zerg player, despite ridiculously overpowered widowmines. Seriously?
Now terran has best unit in the game and 2nd best unit in the game.
Not buying HoTS until they nerf this.
Terran is the worst race with the best players. There was only one Zerg in the RO8 because there was only one truly skilled Zerg in the mix, not because Terran needs a nerf. Here are the actual statistics over 11k players, now stop whining.

Terran is not that weak in HotS, dude.
The pattern goes like this:
Terran starts the strongest, obviously so, but not so strong that other players don't stand a chance.
Zerg players cry.
Blizzard listens and proceeds to nerf units into utter uselessness (goodbye ghost)
Blizzard, while doing this gives the other races advantage after advantage.
Game ends "balanced" with every tourney ended in a ZvZ and the best of the best Korean Terrans losing to shitty Westerners that don't even belong on the same stage (I'm looking at you Goswer)
So you have deduced a pattern based on a handful of patches and the rebalancing of a raw product? Please tell me what share of stock to invest in while you are at it.
Interesting points. And I do agree that it's way too early to tell if the game is unbalanced or not. I am actually kinda surprised to see that Zergs dominate in the race distribution. This does not however, say that the game is unbalanced.
One things I do emphasise when talking about balance, is the skill level required to execute various strategies and builds. Cause while some mediocre Terrans can just build some bioforce with Widow mines and move the entire army with one control group to get behind the mines when Zerg attacks, the Zerg player needs to split and micro the shit out of his units to not lose the game in a single engagement.
It's not that the units are overpowered when looking at their stats, but some of the units (such as Widow mines, new Voids etc.) are just way to easy to control, compared to the skill it requires to deflect them.
The first game was like that for 2 years and now the new game terran is somewhat overpowered and the zerg whinning power is totally OP. It'll happen...
There's tons of statistics to support this. But do you remember when terran was so OP in the WoL? There were still like 2 Zerg GSL champs and a Toss won twice before Terran even got one. End of Every WoL tournament was ZvZ for like 6-12 months...
I think it's obvious the new medivacs are kind of OP. I don't even know why we are having this discussion. However, I do think the rest of the game seems fairly balanced. I don't think the races are imba. But seriously, Terran the weakest? They dominated the tournament. And whoever said that Flash looked tired forgot to look at Life I guess. He played his matches later in the day/night, so that's no excuse. Terran seems like the crybabies.
God those questions are so stupid. They have the opportunity to ask something interesting about build orders or relative race strength and instead they ask bullshit 'How does it feel to have just won?' What are they going to say 'God it feels shit. I wish I'd lost'
Discussions about balance should be deleted, how much can we go over the same topic? How about we talk about the games instead?
I think Flash shouldn't have gone macro in the last game, he had a tough time in each of the macro games, Life was just too fast. Not that I know what he should've done, maybe faster Factory or better yet, go Mech, that would take care of those Zerglings.
shold have 11 11 rax moar
