Goswser wasn't bordering on condescending he was full out saying I have builds that are too good for you, wow. Entertaining stuff, great games!

I don't understand pro-player reluctance for static defense. Especially Zergs having to deal with this drop play. GU had some great engagements in that first match especially, but the drops were just picking him off. A handful of lings and a spore at each base would have cost like 10 supply and a few hundred minerals. Obviously leave it for mid to late game, but at that point there is no reason to not make use of them.
Game one could have been very different, and I think losing that first game, and then not even learning from its mistakes, is why GU lost this set so upsettingly. He just got on tilt and didn't play with his head.
