Naniwa being a bitch. Imagine that. Too bad Idra did it better. What a waste of time.

I am very sand that naniwa was so selfish. I have been bronze for a year and I just expect than I am going to loose. The heart of a warrior never surrenders. I do not give on on Naniwa. But WoW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a complete douche Naniwa is. Not just no respect for his opponents, but no respect for his fans.

It makes me very happy to see the King of Cheese play not only loose but also chuck a tantrum. :) Go Polt

Nice to see some sc2 in between the massively dominant drivel for the majority of the vid
Comment # 6 by mOjoPrestige
Naniwa, will you ragequit sc2 altogether now please? Thanks!

damn this sucks, yo.
but it's easy to tell people off. What we need to do is want our community to thrive, otherwise we're leeching the sc2 community.
From what some shoutcasters/gamers say (read up!), being a pro gamer in the sc2 community is rough right now. The people that are the glue to making these events work are overworked players and fans-working-tech uncertain of the sustainability of their paychecks. Many of them get stressed out or can't get everything right. I have a feeling the workers couldn't handle everything right despite good efforts, similar to Naniwa not being able to handle the bad situation and breaking down. thoughts?

Naniwa had said before the tournament that he was taking an indefinite absence after IEM, only returning *if* he can find his passion for the game again. He said he hadn't laddered or practised for more than a month before IEM which is why I think he cheesed. Considering that Polt can beat even top-tier Protoss, Naniwa didn't think he would have much of a chance in straight-up play given his lack of practise. I'm a Naniwa fan *despite* his bad attitude, but this could have been done so much better. I hope some time off can renew his passion and he comes back again.

Re: Naniwa - such a disgraceful way to leave the scene. Getting booed off stage on his birthday too?
Hopefully he learns from this experience and matures a little bit but I have a feeling he'll be the same ol' douche he always has been.

If youŕe wondering whether this is worth watching allow me to save 38 minutes of your life, the one and only game played starts at 20:25, Naniwa tries to proxy a gateway. Polt is tipped of by the crowd screaming, scouts it then Naniwa forfeits the rest of the match complaining that the lack of sound-proofing makes it impossible to play. Which it does. Then three of the most vacous talking heads in starcraft spend another 15 minutes dribbling absolute shit about tilt and whatnot without once mentioning whats actually going on.
Also there is no Artosis. All-round an embarrassing day for ë-sports and a pertininent reminder of just how far these clowns are from the real sports broadcasters they try to ape.

pretty sure there was not really the kind of cheering that would tip him off before the scv was scouting anyway
Comment # 12 by ricecar
the cheer would probably be when protoss moves out, as a probe moving out that early is a proxy or a bronze league player.
Well I don't take a position on whether it was the crowd noise that tipped Polt off or not but it is what Naniwa claimed and the lack of discussion was mind-boggling.
Can you imagine a pro athlete storming out of a match screaming that the referee was biased or whatever and the commentators spend the rest of the broadcast talking about the weather and not once mention why they're not currently showing a game?
If you can, rewatch the game. There was no crowd noise than can tip of Polt when the Gate was beeing built.
The scv path was already "clicked" when the crowd cheered.
So we can understand why the commentators don't talk about it. Tod explains it quite well also, Naniwa is the underdog and for sure he will try something cheesy.

Sigh...
This is not a big deal really.
Naniwa should not have entered this tournamnet.
But, wtf, the reaction from a part of the community is not proportional to what he did.
Well, haters hate i guess. Thats what you do best.
