Maru vs Life

Amazing finals. Although not walling in seems to be the new meta.



Kaelaris was all over Maru's dick up until the last 30 seconds.

great games. sad that maru lost though.



Every tournament it seems like there's one great Terran hope (Just Maru in the round of 8) that gets slapped down in the end:(





Balance might be fucked, but a great series no doubt.



Why the hell would you say that the game is unbalanced? When both players went a standard macro game, it seemed Maru was on top every time. Terran easily gets to 3/3 while Zerg finds it almost impossible to do the same.
It was only the INCREDIBLE play by Life that won him the series, the guy is insane. Leaving his wall down repeatedly didn't help Maru's cause though...

I love watching Maru play. IMO he is the pinnacle of Terran. Brilliant micro, great multitasking. He's like Muhammad Ali, so fast are his multi-pronged attacks. Shame he threw at least 2 games by not raising depots.

When I watched Maru vs all those other zerg players in this series who got dominated, All the terran players were glad to see the zergs crushed.

I didnt cry imbalance when I saw how easily he rolled over them. As soon as Maru get owned, everyone immediately leans to game balancing being the issue. Come on now. Give Life the credit he deserves -_-...

A great match between two very equally matched foes. To bad the last game had to come down to an ill timed pause. Maru has two attacks going on and Life is in early trouble. Then... PAUSE. Come out of pause and what happens? Maru loses his reapers AND hellions. Come on.




I said balance wasn't an issue... wtf don't you get about that? ONE Terran in the top 8? THAT is a balance issue. And it has been a long time.



Try walling Maru...jeez



quite unfortunate pause at the end... Lag or no, having someone pause to give themselves time to think and react during a crucial moment (such as during your harass) like that... I dunno, hard to say either way. Great games, sad to see maru lose to zergling 1a cause he didn't build a wall tho.



Question:
Was Maru aware that his wall had a hole in it in the last game, or was it just FUBAR?



he probably noticed it wasn't perfect but couldn't get a fix in order. that's my impression at least.
