TY vs Patience

Game 4 is absolutely amazing. TY really is fantastically good at this.



Game 3 (Spoilers ahead) showed that that adept build is just too potent, but most importantly, not punishable. Can deny the 3rd almost infinitely, doesn't seem to matter how well you play.



Also, the adept thing, may be a map thing, since i wasn't the adept that killed him, but the consistent denial of the 3rd, which tends to be very easy on that map.



The only reason why game 4 lasted so long is because TY was forced to play from behind and turtle essentially until the map was mined out. The same way Terran mech typically works, since you usually lose the game if you actually attack with mech. Hence why Tastosis was making the comparison.

TY quickly becoming the top Terran in the world if he isn't considered as such already, yet a lower tier Protoss is going toe-to-toe just because Protoss. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for rooting for players regardless of their achievements and this isn't meant as a hit against Patience, he just simply isn't on TY's level. Even Seed said he is a lower tier Protoss riding on the power of the adept to get into Code S.





Err, I mean Seed calling himself lower tier, not Patience. Poor wording on my part.



For how hard TY outplayed patience, it was pretty ridiculous how close those games were. Game 4 seemed like TY nearly doubled resource efficiency and barely won.

Patience shoulda built a tempest, it's not like he didn't have the resources or the time to do so.
