Either the losing player accidentally broke his wrist last night or we're looking at the worst match-fixing since Life. It is very unusual for champion-caliber players on two bases to take that much damage from basic drop play. (However, if it were match-fixing, wouldn't he have made it less obvious that something was terribly off?)

why do you say stats is a champion caliber player? he has never won a major tournament. innovation on the other hand, is a champion caliber player. he deserved this and I'm glad he's back in form.

Yeah innovation is kind of the bonjwa of hots. I think he's definitely on a mother caliber from stats. Dark was a much closer match up (but then, this patch was far more kind to Zerg than to Protoss).

He won WCS Korea Season 1 in May, placed 2nd in 2 other premier tournaments this year, and is currently ranked #6 worldwide in WCS ranking. He took major damage on 2 bases, which would have been unusually poor play for a top Protoss even if the medivac hadn't been revelationed. With revelation on, taking that much damage from basic drop play looks extraordinarily strange. I'm hoping it was just a really off day and/or there's some innocuous explanation (e.g. an injury), but if I were running a betting site, I'd start looking for sudden late shifts in betting against Stats.
