A shame the production team is still working with 13 year old technology, considering 720p is the highest you can get.

I mean absolutely no disrepect by this, but this kind of shows the tier western SC2 is at when the biggest challenge for Serral is Has of all players. WCS feels a lot like Broodwar where we all sit around patiently waiting for Flash (Serral) to kill everyone and take first place.
Looking forward to Blizzcon to see how Serral stacks up against the Koreans.

@Matthew This statement is further amplified nowadays than it was before like... 2016. Some of the really good (relatively) "western" SC2 players have chosen to participate in the GSL instead. Neeb and Scarlett would definitely make Serral sweat or just beat him.
I too would love to see how it all plays out once we get to Blizzcon. If somehow the Zerg prodigy Reynor (While unlikely) would win it, we'd all lose our shit.
Some of these western players have played on a level at or above some of the Koreans. I think it was 2016 where Stats just couldn't compete with Neeb, but then able to effortlessly deal with him in 2017.
It's very hard to say. It took us many years to recognize Flash was undisputed on the level of SC1. In SC2 we've had consistent players but never has there been a 3 year consecutively where we would place our bets on a single person; while with Flash this is a no-brainer.
It does make me glad though, I love seeing new faces and new people rise up above others. That said, it brings a smile to my face just seeing Flash perform his God Hand all the same.
My mind can't make itself up which of the two it prefers.

Scarlett did go up against Serral in WCS. It was pretty early on. And yes, it was a fight. The only series Serral looked like he could actually lose.
Which would be funny, because Has could have potentially taken the entire tourney then.
