Spanishiwa fell apart after the game on TE. Just started making really dumb choices and wasn't even trying it seemed.

yeah, great Terran play and took the wind out of Spanishiwa's sails. Those last 3 games were woeful for Zerg and lovely switching of style from terran. Welcome to the blueflame helion grill.

Man is it me or the scouting done by spanishiwa in the last 3 games were awefull?
I think he just didn't make units.. this was not a case of imbalance imo!
He didn't saw the hellions coming and he didn't saw the tanks pushing with the bio
and in the game 3 he never took a safe base.. he took almost all but never his 4th of 5th in the center that were alot easier to defend imo!
I love spanishiwa and his style but he just made to many mistakes versus terran!
but what do i know.. i'm silver ;D
good casting

Story of my life. Hellions and drops are so frustrating. I've never seen them so effective though. And Josh is a solid commentator. An idea would be to maybe watch the replay after the live cast, and tack on the parts that we missed at the end of the video of each game. Might be more work than it's worth though.

I agree with shell, as usually spanishiwa is spot on with scouting, as his build is clearly breakable by certain timing pushes...he's normally better than that...

Damn. He got crub stomped.

SurfTaco: being the champion is a lot of pressure, he made a lot of mistakes that he normally doesn't

TvZ is overall a joke.
Terran plays his game and wins. If zerg doesn't conter it PERFECTLY he losses. Terran can make mistakes and still win.
Terran can play 5 unscoutable barracks and win, terran can play halli and win, can play halli with banshee and win. Zerg has to react perfectly in order to just keep himself in game.
On the other hand, what can zerg do? Don't tell me "baneling bust" cos it's just not working at master level.

First of all i wanted to say that I didn't know this MajOr guy sadly because he played really great. A terran player myself I know how hard it is to do all these drops that were going on in game 2 (i beleive) and be so efficient with them. Withdrawing at the right time, attacking the right things, stimming and keeping up with macro and more drops elsewhere.
One thing i can say though is that MajOr studied a lot before facing spanishwa. I think he worked for weeks and weeks to counter (successfully) his style of play :mass queens few units at start + mass drones + infestors+ nydus + hive tech units that get healed. I didnt actually see any borrow moves that was weird !
I did see Spanishwa going for early roachs in other games (changing up his build a bit) and he should have done that seeing the helions in games 4 and 5 . I think he was mentally overwhelmed by the great plays in game 2 and 3 of the Terran.
And to soprof : try banneling and mutas against terrans if you are really in masters league
and you will see another zerg winning the GSL code S this year in my opinion (IMNesTea)..
GO Spanishwa !

Hey, i already know how to play vs. terran. That's not the problem.
But what i don't like is that terran leads the game until zerg's t2. Only thing i can hope for is to overmacro him and defend after that, meanwhile terran can do completely anything he wills: from 6 barracks behind his wall to double expanding behind the same f* wall.
Yes i have good map conrol, but it's actually not enought 'cos i normally don't get any scouting info from 4:30 to ~7:00.
Summary: terran can be good in one build he's perfect at and zerg can't prevent him from executing it, nor can zerg scout it. And zerg has to react perfectly just in order to KEEP PLAYING in the game on the even rights. Terran, on the other hand, can easily punish zerg, for example, for not getting baneling nest.
In context of these games, terran is extremely good at several builds.. and poor zerg has to defend(react) like god just to leave himself chances of winning. So the game demands better reaction and overall better game from the zerg. That's strange way of balancing the game. The zerg has some eco advantage and has to
1. get the advantage under fear of any terran cheese
2. Defend the advantage and only after that play it in the chances close to 50 / 50.
So a good terran play will just win more often, no matter of the rest :D
