In theory Mutas could kill a planetary fortress cost-effectively too, not only Broodlords as Husky stated. But maybe Husky was referring only to the units that were in use at the time?
Turrets have a longer range than mutas, so no. Broodlords can hit the planetary and the only way to stop them is vikings (turrets, marines and thors do not work).
This was a pretty intense and amazing game, but I did end up yelling at the screen asking Kas why he wouldn't leave ONE SINGLE MARINE in the smoke in his main...
