Man idras shit is really getting old...
wp idra:) ye fail map choice for game 3 lol...
game 1 was so entertaining
The one trick pony strikes again!
I'm guessing by one trick pony you're referring to how Idra loses any game when his muta transition doesn't kill the other player...
lol
Man Idra is suck a dick. I mean he still carries on like a 16 year old gamer. In the end it will only cost him.
Idra finally gets a win against minigun
NotInventedHere: Lol, yeah it really costs him. He only appeared in a commercial with a bugatti, has one of the highest salaries in SC2 and also has his face on a t-shirt.
all the idra anti-fans are so butt hurt..lol
@Reset: No offense, but I can put your face on a t-shirt for $5 on the boardwalk.
While Idra is a gifted player, of high caliber (for a non korean) and i like his playstyle. I grow more and more tired of his attitude, and it has taken a toll on the way i approach his matches and stuff. I still like his commentaries, and his replays, but it just makes me cringe when he does his rage/rant stuff. It is inappropriate, childish, and at best laughable. It definitely lessens the experience for me, and that comes that someones that appreciates the player. So i can understand where the anti fans are, if even the people appreciating him are getting tired.
Now let's not go overboard with all the people exaggerating saying that he is anything but rage, or has no skill. This is far from the truth.
@Scoldin: Yeah, but you won't get it distributed by a company that has the potential to reach hundreds of thousands of people daily.
I don't get the rage quit thing. Sure you expected to "GG" out of tournament games, but many people still say he's rage quitting when he leaves a Ladder game. God... He rage quits sometimes, yeah, but just because you don't feel like admitting that it was a good game, doesn't mean that it's a bad mannered action to quit without "GG". It's just neutral. If he says like "Fuck off" or something, which I admit he does sometimes, you can call it bad mannered, but otherwise it means nothing, except that many people build up assumptions of his frustration and rage.
Point is... Ladder games are for practice, especially for someone like IdrA. He just loses a game, and quickly moves on to the next. If he felt like the opponent played really well and that the game was fair and good, he does actually "GG" - He just gets too much attention on the other part of the games.
His attitude is stupid in most situations, I agree, but sometimes it just seems like people love to hate the guy. I mean, in reality it's probably in less than 10 % of the games that is actually legitimate to throw hate at him. His win rate is quite ridiculous, and he is GG'ing out of by far the most tournament games he enters. His rivalries are just a little more extreme in emotion than most other progamers, so can't really blame him for that can we? His opponents' do in fact try to upset him from time to time, so it kind of disturbs me, that IdrA is the only one getting the hate, just because he doesn't "GG" after someone insults him with a provocative sentence or a bad mannered reference to a recent loss.
I am no fan of IdrA, except that I respect his skill (and saying he doesn't have any skill is retarded), but of all people in the Starcraft community I am getting exceptionally tired of, it is the IdrA haters. It's just repetition after repetition. Grow up and move on, thanks.
Now, I am probably going to get a lot of hate for this comment :-D
I 100% understand his rage quitting on the ladder. It even makes sense. Ladder cheese doesn't directly apply to tournament or pro-play, so why waste your time?
Rage quitting from a tournament or league, however, is just bad form and childish.
why do people care so much about his rage or personality? I'm here to watch enjoyable games, and whether it be losing in an antiquated fashion to winning with pure mechanics, it's always an enjoyable match. So what his attitude is bad, isn't he only like 20 years old and plays video games as a profession, where there's a shitton of blood and violence? What are you expecting?
So he's a dick. Great. And that hurts you because?
On another note, the games were entertaining. I feel like Idra is a 'superior' player but he seems to have a horrible... understanding of the game, still using roach hydra or not knowing how to use infestors properly. I feel like a 10 minute conversation with destiny or Zenexcoca would make him the world's best player.
@Belial if you like watching enjoyable games, why do you even care about Idra? he's the most predictable boorish player ever in both SC1 and SC2. You'll never ever see any original play from the kid.
@s4life: so gimmicky builds are better than solid play?
