Ok...hydralisks are HORRIBLE. Hydras are supposed to counter that. It is not even like whitera had good micro (he lost his mothership because he was trying to be greedy with vortex =_=). Thus whitera literally 1-a'd and destroyed the hydras. If hydra < carrier iono what to say. Zerg already only have limited options, cant wait for HotS where that boring race can finally have more than 1 or 2 viable strats.



Corruptors are supposed to counter that. Mass corruptors + infestors would've go through carriers like there was no tomorrow. Whitera was just messing around. He's one of the best players in the world so I guess it's difficult to win against him even when he's just playing for fun. Hydras are a bit lame in SC2 pretty much useless against toss (unless toss is going mass stalkers without Coco support - but who does that?). But I disagree with the statement that Zerg can't counter this build. I'm pretty sure if you tried this build on ladder most zergs would just eat you. It's Whitera - he can do whatever he wants and it will work :)

...what. hard counter to entire protoss tier 1. soft counter to blink stalkers. with a row of roaches they become a counter to chargelots. hard counter to void rays, situational counter to phoenix. soft counter to immortals. i'm sorry that at least protoss tier 3 beats them?

i understand they're useless against terran. because marine.



Hard counter my ass. Only if you are completely incapable of positioning, micro and proper forcefields do Hydras hard counter Protoss tier 1.

Tier 1 units with support of HT with storms annihilate Hydras. Same story with tier 1 + Coco. I never said they weren't a counter to anything. But being a counter doesn't automatically mean that a unit is useful. Every time I'm playing against zerg and he is going Hydras it's pretty much a free win for me.



despite what GrandPa-Ra said Hydra are good at killing interceptors not carriers. That's why the zerg needed to have an other units to kill the carrier, like infested terran or corruptors. It Was mass T3 vs mass T2 at 200 supply ... no wonder White-Ra won with those simple army composition.

Dannyocean could have had a chance if he'd attacked much sooner
