Game 1: I wonder when TLO decided that his 2-base all-ins are more effective than the 1-base ones. What is this shit with low-ground factories, like he's thinking "all I need to do is expo and defend all-ins and I can win this"? Then he moves straight into his mass Thor derp strat he thinks counters muta because marines are too hard for him to use. Good lord. At least he had the right idea game 2 with 2-port banshee, even if his control is so ludicrously bad that he lost both for absolutely nothing and had to transition into his usual derp-derp Thor strat
it happens when you cold-cast
tlo is really charming but not on the level of other foreign pros anymore imo.
i was more impressed with tlo when he was one of the most inventive and original players in the early sc2 days. he also lost some luster with me when he stopped playing random and went full terran. Boo, i miss tlo zerg!
So it's just a disappointing series, no casting issues anyone?
If you're looking for feedback Kommissar I think it was a good cast, but I feel that like a lot of casters you focus too much on the mistakes that the players are making, rather than what they're trying to achieve.
You mentioned several times that you 'don't like this at all', 'I don't think this is a good idea' etc. It's often easy to see what someone's doing wrong when you can see both sides and you haven't got a game on the line. But focusing more on the positives, who's playing really well and outlining what the options are for each player without necessarily telling the audience 'what they should do now' makes the game more interesting for me.
I've watched so many casts where it seems like one player lost the game, rather than the other player winning it. Both of these players would smash me without blinking but part of me is left thinking 'oh TLO just played bad' which is sad, when I should be thinking, 'wow Idra played like a boss'. Even if he didn't do anything incredible, he must have played solidly.
TL:DR - maybe focus more on what the player is doing well, and what their options are without giving in to the temptation to tell the players what to do and what they're doing wrong?
This is just my opinion and it would apply equally to almost any other caster out there, but it sounded like you wanted feedback :)
Oh and a bit of a sound issue in game 2 around 8 something minutes?
cast was fine its hard to get into the matches when its so clear early on that what tlo is doing wont work so the whole match boils down to, when is this going to end. anyway sound was messy late but u explained why so not a big deal maybe if it was looking like and epic match i would say recast it but...well it wasnt. good cast
