Polt was making so many mistakes, compared to Stephano who only made a few, and still won. Yet terrans just keep on complaining that they're being nerfed all the time... sigh. Just watch these games and you'll see why.

How many mistakes was Polt doing compared to Stephano exactly ?

Good series but I agree with Ryougi. A great Zerg player will lose to a same calibre Terran - you need to be about 15% better to beat a Terran of the same calibre
Comment # 8 by bigbug
Polt needs to go back to Code S and take Stephano with him. This was the sickest series I've seen for ages and awesome casting.

he would have won, but he was tired...

wtf are u guys talking about -- Stephano - self claimed at the tournament to not have played ZvT -- for 2 months -- and still he puts up a fight like this vs one of the best terrans in the world that plays 8-10 hours a day - the fact that his winning some, should speak for it self.
next to that -- im a terran player,, add dlmRedbullX.376 on the EU ladder- and il rape u with me as zerg and u as terran lol ^^

how come there were no balance issues in stephano vs puma? morons.
it's hardly about who makes a couple mistakes. It comes down to so many different things against polt

yeah great games, best i've seen for a while!!!! Polt is just amazing. Stephano of course too.
This was simply amazing to watch.
Also, I used to only really enjoy casts by Day9 teamed up with Husky, but these two guys make a great team and Apollo's insight is terrific, verging on being a spoiler as he predicts the gameplay.
that was a really awesome game. Very good casting too. Probably the most exciting game I've seen. I would have loved to see stephano take it further though, but polt was really good.

Best casting couple ever, TB is entertaining and keeps the flow of the cast even when there's no action and Apollo's insight is awesome. Good Job casters.

Based upon the comments of Zerg players, I have some balance suggestions:
- Marines should now start with 0 hp, you build them, they pop out and burst into blood spatters.
- Hellions should not be able to damage workers.
- Snipe should do -5 damage (slightly healing enemy units)
- Tanks should splash their own units, but not damage enemies.
Bet some people would still be crying to nerf reapers and Marauders...

Great games. These two are the best casters by far.

Polt was clearly better prepared for stephano's style and a marathon ZvT in general. Stephano, although playing fantastically, was generally the player on the back foot throughout the series. Polt had very specific builds for each map, while I felt stephano had more of an ad hoc approach that didn't serve him well in the end. If Stephano approached the game like Koreans with drum-tight builds and dissecting the opponents play-style, who knows what he could accomplish. A great talent to watch nonetheless.

What a series! Great casting too.

Sick series. Very evenly matched with just the tiniest margins between two amazing players. But it was pretty clear that Polt was able to adjust his play enough to Stephano to beat him by staying ahead by the tiniest of margins.
WRT to the zerg balance whiners, I didn't hear any of you guys bitching when Puma went down to Stephano. Oh, and Zerg DRG just took the 2012 GSL first championship. If anything, I'm guessing that fungal area or time of effect is going to get a nerf with the next update.

The wins that Polt was able to pull off there... mind = blown as well.
Amazing series. Polt just kept re-positioning the tanks well the whole series... and he kept moving them around the map to take key bases. and against the mainly ground army of stephanos ling infestor ultra style. It was a convincing win. Mindblowing. I actually think if Stephano stuck to that muta style that one game he might have had better results.
Polt is such a beast, this was a little more one sided than I would have liked. Terran didn't build a single ghost and beat down ultras and brood lords.
It seemed that Stephano's indecision contributed quite a bit to him dropping a few of the maps, throwing away bases over and over and the inefficiencies that go along with it. Was a little bit strange to see Stephano play like that, to be honest.
Not to take anything away from Polt, however, as he just showed why solid play can outperform any sort of "balance" issues. Truly phenomenal games by both players and incredibly entertaining.
Also, kudos to the casters. I think they've really come together as a duo that proves time and time again to be both insightful and fun to watch.
agree with Inks.
Pretty rare to see Stephano hesitating like that. ("should I come back to defend my 3rd or try a base trade...").
The Muta game that he should not lost make him fragile; like many French when they doubt! :)
I m fan of Stephano and I m deeply happy that he lost vs someone who was really more trained than him.
Slap is alway good for the youth.
