the level of play from both is astounding. It's all so fast and smooth. A level above what i've seen for a while. DRG is just such an amazing zerg!

OP race vs OP race! Looks like T won the OP battle in this league. Watch IEM finals to see how to beat OP T using a skill-based, intelligence and decision-making driven race...

After so many second places MarineKing deserved a first place. Congrats to him.
lol @ #3, MC is shit compared to these two.

good games... but i can't help to think that all there is too much cheese from marineking... What I mean is that eventually when all possible chesses are known and players can defend against them... this kind of player will be behind players like DRG

Great games, always love seeing Terran beat Zerg haha. I need to say though that tasteless is a moron. I thought that maybe I was biased to him because he sounds like a neanderthal so I tried hard to listen to the substance of what he was saying and was still disappointed.

Really amazing, it was a great series to finish off a great tournament!

@League - "how to beat OP T using a skill-based, intelligence and decision-making driven race..." That's okay, I know how to play TvT.

lol at the dude that said there was too many cheeses from MKP, When your that good its not cheese. It's game progression, you attack try to win and macro behind..I think it's crazy how so many ignorant ppl talk about sc that they know whats going on.

Amazing Games, I love Artosis & Tasteless.
Also, being skilled is clearly OP.

agree with #10 ...
#6 is not correct ... it's like poker, you have to bluff sometimes to keep the opp guessing. here, "cheesing" or however you look at it, is part of the game ... otherwise, you become more predictable and opps play you better ...
regardless, MKP's micro and overall game sense is superb ...

MKP well done!!!!!! For such a legend he looks quite young, 16/17

what I tried to say isn't that good players don't change the strategy. It's about making risky strategies that have a high chance of failing because in the long turn you may get defeated. There is a reason why blizzard started putting those supply depots in the ramp, so no pylon wall ins would occur anymore... that was a form of chesse, cause even great players could fall against bad ones. Bunker rushes are more difficult, yes, but if you really expect them (like you would do in ladder, not ALWAYS from a player like MKP), they will in the end serve you no good as a strategy... I still believe that in time making bunker rushes EVERY game in a WORLD FINAL won't serve terran any good at all... in fact, I think it's kinda unsportsmanlike, and it shows the fear he has of DRG.

#14 aka DavidFenner, your the definition of scrub dude and I dont mean the noob-worldwide definition that people come to popularized it.
MKP simply fair and square won, it doesnt matter its the finals and it matters less that he just bunker rushed all the times. Even if he used or abused other strategy that you would just call ''cheesy'', in the end of the day he simply used game mechanics allowed by the game he is playng and he bested his oponent with superiority.
If your blocking yourself with imaginated mental walls that you should or not should in the game your a scrub and will allways be a scrub because you cant evolve your playng when you think that the other just won because he is ''cheesing'' or because he is beeing unsportsmanlike!
Its as MKP didnt spited on DRG face or kicked him in the crotch.
He just owned him using game mechanics where DRG failed to respond and adapt.
Of course i think is DRG's fault, I just see a better future for DRG than MKP, i insist, bunker rushing all the time is a clear statement that he feels overall weaker than DRG when all the aspects of the game come in to play, and not only the few that come to play in a bunker rush.
Wow. You really hate MKP hey mr davidfenner...
Great play from MKP and DRG. Love MKP's aggression even though he's a crazy badass macro player.
Bunker rush - significant drone damage or early GG requiring little macro and very little risk. It'd be great if all Ts opened up with this and then we'd have grand finals with a total of 20 mins in game time!
@DavidFenner - You're right: MKP did feel weak against DRG. If you listened to the interview at the end, that's exactly what MKP said. But to insinuate that MKP is sub-par after WINNING against DRG is downright silly.
Also, I don't know if you were actually watching the same series I was, but MKP simply outplayed DRG on multiple levels. Even when DRG spotted the "cheese", MKP was able to make things happen, even winning two games after DRG had clearly spotted exactly what was coming. On the longer macro games, MKP was able to macro like a zerg, staying neck and neck in supply, expanding while denying enemy expansions, all the while showing superior micro on the battlefield.
Yes, we didn't get to see "all" aspects of play--MKP didn't go mech while allowing the zerg to max out with infestor / broodlord. Personally, I give MKP +1 for being smart enough to make correct unit compositions and not to let the zerg get dominant position. But maybe you'd rather have a 20-minute-no-rush to allow "all the aspects of the game [to] come in to play".

Such an awkward silence when he wins after game 7 haaaaaaaaaa
Comment # 21 by hockeyarena.net
MKP's micro is just stunning, his marines splits against banes are simply the best I've seen so far.
The bunker rushes: terrans need to put pressure on zergs from start to finish, otherwise they don't stand a chance and MKP is a master of this style. I don't think bunker rush against zerg is a cheese in any way, it is a viable strategy, zerg just needs to learn how to defend it, just like terran needs to cope with zerg's mass expansion and macro.

Because of MLG's VOD system which got abandoned at some point and all their VODs died :(

Is this the game (series)?

If so, they could be added as a substitute.

Mm, yea, Husky.
Not sure this is a better substitute (yes, even over a non-working VODs) :P
It's good we now have the link in the comments though, whoever wants to check those games - can!
