I'm not that great at starcraft but couldn't he have just made some ghosts and vikings or even thors and emp the ravens so they cant put out defense drones then just DESTROYED them?
yeah ..I think emp would have been the way to go here

Ghost mech would have destroyed greenpine.. he probably just couldn't think of it on the fly
