Every time I hear how critical flyer carapace is, it makes my head hurt. It takes about 10 seconds of critical thinking to realize that makes 0 sense: if you have carapace, and I get flyer attack, they cancel each other out. Your carapace is then valuable against: queens. My flyer attack is then valuable against: everything. So stupid.



man you are so ignorant, the +1 carapace is a lot more usefull because in muta fight it also reduce the damage of the glaive's bounce by one but +1 attack does NOT gies you +1 on each bounce so you loose your muta fight and you loose the game.
btw i don't think that thinking about the carapace is what makes your head hurt, but more the concept of thinking...



yea right! According to Liquipedia the attacks of mutalisks are:
main-attack: 9
bounce 1 : 3
bounce 2 : 1

upgrades for the attacks (with each upgrade)
main-attack: +1
bounce 1 : +0.333
bounce 2 : +0.111

So if mutas have one armour (carapace-upgrade-level1) they do not get affected by the enemy's bounce-2-attack; no matter what attack-upgrades he has.
