Is there even one game out there, where an scv pull really made a difference? I mean, they die so quickly to Colossi... it's only a few seconds where your army takes less damage and then your economy is down and you have to do it again otherwise you loose in the late game and so P can prepare for the next attack... I think it's a lousy strategy.
And wtf are these pro-players thinking not to spend a few minerals to protect their bases from protoss air attacks? I know it's not "cool" to spend money for static defense, but seeing so many scvs and drones die to oracle or phoenix can't make it worth to skip turrets or spores in the first place... I get even more angry when a Zerg Player places only one spore and looses 6 or more drones on his geysers because he doesen't want to spend money to place a second spore...

Wow. Still have to deal with Zerg imba whining at this stage of the game? Not enough that every Terran on the planet looks silly playing just about any Zerg. Let's take away the one unit that might stifle a Zerg once he gets to Hive and just crushes us without using a single ounce of skill.
muhmuh> SCV pulls are actually really effective and normally are only countered by storm. The idea being that the zealots cannot close on the marines and also they waste their charge, whilst scv's also drawing fire from the stalkers. At that time, the vikings can do damage or eliminate most of the collossi without so many stalker hits. So you have zealots wiped out by the m&m ball and collossi wiped out by the vikings, which leaves stalkers and immortals and archons to be attacked by medivac-supported stimmed MM's, which actually works quite well. With mules, the terran can still be ok with the eco and if they win that fight, the game is over. If they are waaaay behind, then of course nothing can win the game and it's just desperation tactics. Storm means that the marines and scv's can be hit with the same area attack, but an scv pull should not be used against templar tech, instead they should have ghosts and EMP the army.
