IdrA vs Huk

Lol sometimes I wonder is Idra actually just putting on the rage for show now...



When the opponent has 9 collosi... maybe lay off the brood lords and stick with corrupters... had enough ground to deal with the gateway unit, just needed counters to the collosi..



LOL god danm that was some funny shit watching his entire army get roasted, than the "fuck this game" man great shit.. and yes idra does put some of it on for show most deff its his trademark forever.

I agree with MrNorris. He needed a counter for the corruptors before those high templars came out.

I just love how his army gets stomped down and then... He makes more of the same composition that got stomped down.



Why was Idra upgrading air attack? He went all the way to +3 attack without ever really using it since he turned all corruptors into broodlords.



Cividari - The Broodlords still get the +attack bonus on the initial "spit" of the Broodlings/broodling strike.



Yeah, I was grinding my teeth at the lack of Corrupters to annihilate the Collosi. I hate seeing a Zerg player on the verge of a win just let it go all to hell like that. Idra had a right to be frustrated, but only himself to blame this time.



idra has good macro... but now that everyone's caught up with him in that department, that's pretty much all he has, just like in Broodwar. His decision making is horrible



he needs corruptors man, fuck this game



2 big mistakes by Idra.

1. Should have reacted sooner or realize that there was an OB watching his broodlords.



2. A few infestors to fungral the stalkers blinking in for broodlord. Or at least to match the protoss, since huk got HT's



Maybe if Idra didn't trade 10+ broodlords for a handful of stalkers and photon cannons he would have had way more of them in that final battle... What he did with those broodlords would be the equivalent of Huk losing 1 or 2 collosus every 30 seconds in exchange for a couple hydras.. Idra also had the opportunity during that standoff to literally take the entire map.. I just don't understand how this guy can play this game for a living and not realize his own obvious mistakes.

I agree, Idra was really quite stupid in not making any infestors. If you've got the pit anyway, they're such good value for money, especially if you can do something like cripple of pack of greedy blink-stalkers (as the above poster said).



And also, Idra never makes lings. Huk had the whole north side of his base completely open, it would be so easy to keep him occupied with a bit of ling pressure.



I think, overall, Idra often plays this lazy style of zerg that relies on 'outmacroing' the opponent, with zero micro and zero harass. I much prefer his play versus terran or zerg. He would argue that protoss is just OP, but in truth his play is just poorly chosen.



For their cost I really think broodlords should either be faster or thicker skinned...not that I disagree with all the comments so far, they were poorly managed.

Of course Idra lost, it's a Huk replay pack :P but I'm not defending Idra here, it was really all his fault. He had ridiculous macro but just didn't use it well, losing so many broodlords and underusing corruptors/not using infestors
