Some great games, game 4 was by far my favorite though!

i love this Rapid guy casting. Manages to commentate, analyse and add a bit of humour in the right proportions

Rapid is basically an up-and-coming caster, he's impressed me a lot more in one cast than GTR did in the months he's been casting.
If Rapid continues to improve, I can definitely see him as a younger Tasteless in a few years.

Rapid is absolutely awful. His jokes are BAD. He rambles about things totally unrelated to the game. He confuses the names of units. He confuses the names of players. He confuses colors--seriously? He calls a lot of things incorrectly and doesn't even seem to understand how some units work (he didn't know adepts were light units and thought it would take two groups of adepts a "long time" to kill each other). If he stopped all of the side commentary and focused on play-by-play commentary then he'd be tolerable but he's trying to do everything all at once and he just isn't experienced enough to pull it off. He shouldn't try to be funny because he isn't funny. Maybe in a year or two he'll be okay at play-by-play but I don't think he'll ever be a good analytical caster like Day[9] or Artosis because the game knowledge clearly isn't there.

I agree with a lot of points of criticism but when I compare him to GTR, I do feel he's doing a lot better than GTR did.
Everyone builds game knowledge differently, most do by playing but some simply do it by casting a lot of games and study. Wolf, I feel, is a notable example of someone that doesn't play but still gives very insightful information during matches.
Hell, even I haven't played in LotV and I knew all the unit types a few weeks into release and I felt I had a good understanding of the game. Granted, I have been playing in WoL a ton and I watch pretty much all major/premier tournament games ever since 2012 or so, but I'm sure Rapid has had his fair share as well.
I'll definitely give that his jokes aren't good, most are forced or just so much out there, but I can tolerate his input a lot better than GTR's, personally.
Of course if you compare him with veterans such as Day[9], Tastosis, Todd, incontrol, hell, even axslav, he's severely lacking, but things like these just needs time to grow.

rapid sucks, gtr also sucks, two wrongs don't make a right - no reason to even compare.
By that level of reasoning then comparing "two rights" also doesn't make sense.
Because "two rights" definitely doesn't make "a wrong". Excellent constructive criticism you got there, must be really thought through!

The figure of speech "two wrongs don't make a right" comes from how two negative numbers will always have a positive product. Two positive numbers will also have a positive product--not a negative one, so what you're saying is what doesn't make sense.
That's actually not correct. If I go back to my bookkeeping days, having two negative numbers definitely did not mean that I magically had more money to spend, only that the debt would become higher.
Even if I just take this mathematically; -5 - -3 = -2. Where I learned my math, -2 is not a positive product.
Then again, we're not talking math, but a figure of speech. In which case two rights doesn't make a wrong (Even in math), so I am not sure how you are exactly trying to correct me.
well....... at least we cleared that up.
Seriously though, what the fuck are you even arguing about?
I like Rapid's approach to casting. Yea sure there's a lot of room for improvement, especially on the technical side of things, but he has made watching VODS fun again through relaxed, silly humour. Thats the part of commentary that can't be learnt, the rest will come in time, I guarantee it.
Anyone got anything to say about the series?
Where did you learn how to do math, anyway? I'm surprised you didn't learn some basic mathematical terminology as an accountant. You subtracted -3 from -5. That means that -2 isn't a product--it's a difference. A product is the result of multiplication.
The figure of speech refers to how responding to something negative without further negativity is both immoral and will not improve the situation (i.e. responding to a rude server at a restaurant with further rudeness).

I'll just go back to:
So I am not sure how you are exactly trying to correct me.
And with that of course I mean the first post, before we derail it any further.

no it doesn't. gtfo.
It comes from moral philosophy.
"wrong" =/= negative and "right" =/= positive.
there is no such thing as "wrong" and right" in math, except in correct logic and bad logic.
you're talking out of your ass.
