Some of the best TvP ever. Tasteless sums it up nicely after game 2... "WhaaaaaaaaBlahblahblahblahhhhhhhhhhhh! That was insaaaaane!"

SOS seemed to be making more mistakes than normal (not canceling shades, for example), but there was a lot going on so it may have just been stressed multitasking.

Wow, Byun... so hot right now..

That would have to be the best Grand Final I have seen yet.

Against all odds, against all statistics, against all critics and against all experts, The Terran that defied everything and everyone.

THE TEAMLESS TERRAN GOD

ByuN is just all over the place, forcing mistakes out of his opponents the whole tournament simply because they can't keep up with him.

I could do without the fake, forced hype from Tastosis, but decent games.

Absolutely unbelievable control from Byun. A true master and earned his crown.
Hilarious, insightful, exciting casting from Artosis and Tasteless. Always enjoy your casting, you guys are the best in the business.
@Matthew, mate, Tastetosis live and breathe SC. Trust me, it's not faked. These guys are genuinely excited when there's incredible SC like what we just saw. I am too!

I've been watching for as long as anyone else. It is easy to see when they are being sincere and when they are not. Yes, Tasteless, Artosis, and Wolf all get genuinely worked up at times. This is true. This is not one of those times. Screaming over a normal, very standard routine widow mine drop which gets mediocre damage and acting like it has never been done before.
I get it. It is a finals. SC2 is on the decline (not dead, but decline). You want to try and make it a good experience. And for most viewers it is probably successful. Just sayin' for those of us who have been watching Tastosis for many years, it is pretty easy to see it was a bit forced in this cast.

I like this game before I even watched it. I was so right.
By the way, there's a bug I think with the playback. If I'm watching part 1, then I click on part 2, the sound from part 1 keeps playing even thought the image from part 2 starts....

What did I just witness?! That was incredible. What amazing play from ByuN. Taking a loss in the first then adjusting properly to win everything after. It was like Artosis said in an earlier match about how his multitasking is beyond Maru level and hes just everywhere. SoS made high risk plays riddled with errors and lost when he should have focused more for a long term game where he might have had a better chance but it might never had mattered. ByuN was just playing out of his midn.
As for the casters, love Tastosis. I mean you dont move to Korea to take a job because you "sorta" like it. The reason I love um as casters is because they're generally excited for great gameplay as well as success for the players. Other casters might have a more in depth knowledge of the game but as someone who doesn't play and just watches SC I feel they're casting is more tailored to a wider audience. And of course their back and fourth joke chemistry is out this world. Artosis has probably the funniest most clever commentary than anyone.
Great games.

@Matthew You obviously haven't watched Tastosis as much as the next guy because they get genuinely this hyped almost all the time and this was no different. That "routine" widow mine drop did insane damage for this level of play as Protoss players as good as Sos constantly pull their probes away like he did in every other game this series. Byun pulled him out of position and then landed two sweet widow mine hits you would expect to see against a lower level toss.
These games were hands down amazing. Usually a series has to go all the way for me to enjoy it fully but Byun was absolutely amazing in these games. Congratulations, you earned it.

Tastosis are definitely "adding" hype to their performance for the finals. They did it here and they tend to do it for any finals they cast. (I'm not saying it's bad, just that they do it)
Artosis in particular does this thing where he gets much louder than normal and elongates his words while slowly dropping the pitch of his speaking. It isn't terrible, but it doesn't sound nearly as natural as when he's genuinely impressed by games.
He doesn't tend to over-hype games mid-season, and when he gets excited in that situation his tendency is to start talking faster with more tightly-enunciated syllables and at a higher pitch than normal.
That doesn't mean he isn't excited by finals, but he's there to make it as exciting for the viewers as possible and sometimes it comes off a little awkward when he tries just a little too hard.

I'm curious and haven't seen any easy to find answer: why is Byun teamless?

And the hype from the casters was genuine. No way it was fake: its the culmination of a years worth of work and the story was worth the reactions.

It's nice to see a terran who has figured out how to play against the common Toss army compositions in the current state of LOTV.
Not to say that all top-level terrans can play with the micro that Byun has, but some of those battles were made to look easy- e.g. the mid-map battle with many vikings taking out all the collossi of SOS's army with essentially no loss, where other terrans might have instead tried a siege with liberators in the mix- it really looked effortless to walk over SOS, who himself has looked in great form lately.
I play Toss (or used to) so normally I prefer when they win, however just seeing the control and decision-making by Byun in these games was a joy to watch.

What great gameplay and commentary. Never seen anything like it. ByuN played like champ and Tastosis were hilarious. SoS was awesome too--great sportsman.
To the salty folks. I hear ya, you wanted Protoss to win this. Feels bad... But there's really no reason to criticize these guys for putting so much effort into making an exciting show. If you're feeling salty but still want to post something, a quick "thanks guys" is enough. Hey, you can use SoS as your role model! He was graceful about losing, gave ByuN a compliment... No whining or moping...
