I'm just a spectating scrub, BUT Its really really rare i see a protoss beat ranged libs without tempest.

Frontal, definitely not smart. You see players like stats and zest flank libs instead with blink stalkers.

Preferably, the Protoss would like to make sure liberators aren't able to set up so well near your own base. You'd rather force him in a defensive position where liberators lose a lot of strength; because you can attack from a lot of sides.
