Leenock vs Byun

I feel like I'm the only one who isn't a fan of Byun. Okay, he is good at abusing Zerg's reliance on melee units, and that is about it. If he can't cheese a victory with marines or reapers, his mid and late game play is so lackluster.



You're talking about cheesing a victory with marines or reapers, but what I liked about ByuN so much was that no one ever got to the level of ByuN's reaper play. Maru, Inno, TY and probably every other M/GM Terran in the world tried to do what ByuN did with reapers, not a single one succeeded in the months that this wasn't nerfed.

So even if everything else would've been cheesy or he'd fall apart on any other aspect, if you can win premier tournaments in a way no one else ever could, then that's all that matters.

After the reaper nerf, he's just never been able to keep up with other top tier pro's often enough. Now that Terran has serious issues with Protoss the last few months, he's really been outshined by players like Maru.

p.s. ByuN also won some serious late-game finals matches in premier tournaments against players like Dark. It probably was a SSL or GSL in early/mid 2016.
