Classic vs Dark

Has there any been such a consistently and overwhelmingly unbeatable strat as nydus-swarmhost in recent years?

Just kinda boring and annoying that it's been going on for so long.



Unbeatable? It has clearly been beaten quite a few times. Its just the current flavor. Just like earlier this year, it was BC rushes by Terran.

The thing to appreciate, like the BC, is that you have to build up into it, unlike a cannon or glaives rush where you're just building up into it from the start. It is everything else that is being done during the BC or swarm host rush that makes it interesting, and how they try to survive to get there. Dark did an amazing amount of juggling, red herrings, locus wave balancing, and even body blocking with the hell muffins to survive game 2. It is far from the "build this unit fast and hope they chose an economic opening" crap of earlier-game rushes.
