The first real battle was Forcefield win, really, 70 supply behind and Forcefield made the engagements Full army vs. maximum 30 units of the Zerg.

Zerg can't take FFs on without Ultralisk, which just come to late for a large engagement.



But, I have to admit that TT1 played a phenominal game.



those force fields won it so well.

zerg shud have flanked the protoss and not attacked at such unfavourable chokes. shud have defended with his main army and build some corrupters there, freeing up his muta ball to decimate the protoss army. it was his unit composition that let him down and the protoss amazing use of ff that won it for him. crazy game highly recommend watching

of course it was a forcefield win when he was behind in supply. that's why you rarely see ling/bling/muta pvz... crappy DPS for expensive mutas, and ez to forcefield lings mid-game



by the time he transitioned out to roach, etc, his lead was gone and protoss had enough tech units



he should kill sentrys with mutas right after that mineral line harras.

theres sooo many things the zerg did wrong. he needed to replace his expos as soon as he lost them. he should not have gotten corruptors earlier, and less mutas. when he went banelings, he should have gotten ov drop to bypass the ff. when he went roach, he should have gotten burrow movement, to bypass ff, or at least get infestors to fungal the sentrys. he also needed better upgrades, 1 evo doesnt cut it.

Julyzerg lost because at around 13 minutes hes banking 3k minerals and hes unable to spend them because he is out of larva.. he spend them all before on lings, which he partially morphed into banes.. He had no macro hatch up at that time so he couldnt remass his army in time, and TT1 did too much damage during this period.

Nyokid. why is 70 supply lead (some of it being drones) good if you have lings and banelings that can't even attack a protoss army?



I do ling runbys against prot for econ damage, etc, or use them early game... but it's too risky to go heavy supply on ling bling muta against prot.

@NyoKid: The supply difference in army is actually quite small given that Z has much more drones. If you notice after the battle there is still a +40 supply advantage for Z, so you're overreacting there.



Anyway, bad army composition for zerg, so far into the game lost him the fight.



Zerg deserved to loose. Ling bling muta is about the worst army composition against stalker/sentry/colossus.



And so late in the game, if the opponent is relying so heavily on force field, maybe get some ultra ?

Protos isnt op Zerg needs burrowed roaches or tier 3 to clear out a protos deathball.
