DDE vs DarKFoRcE

DDE one of my favorite terran players, but he played awful in these games.

Okay, reactor hellion into cloak in TvZ is just plain suicide. It's a total desperation move. I would expect that from some victim on Idra's stream, not DDE.

Maybe he's physically sick or something b/c this was really uncharacteristic play from him.



Reactor hellion to cloaked banshee is not a terrible strategy. The idea is that the zerg has to react to the hellions with a couple of spines and some lings, which will cause him to be slower to lair (especially if he overreacts to the hellions) and less prepared for the banshee attack. It's true that most of these really high level zergs will neither overreact to the hellions nor be completely unprepared for the banshee, which is why you don't see it very often from terran. But calling it suicidal and desperate is a bit of a stretch.
