haha - i beat Destiny twice on the EU ladder aswell -- and when ever i play Kas he demolishes me ... Destiny has a wife'n'kids :) 12 mins into a game his on 2 bases --- what did he expect? ... as a terran i take my third latest around 11:00
What are you talking about? How is there any possibility of expanding when you cannot mine for more than 30 seconds at a time. Through that whole game, I'm willing to bet that pure hellion harass making drones pull off the line made destiny lose at least 1500 minerals worth of mining time, not to mention all the drones that were killed, therefore could no longer mine, AND had to be REmade. Hellions are insanely cost effective.
I'm not saying they're overpowered, they're just too cost effective for what they're worth. I mean sure, if they kill a bunch of drones and force me to move off for a bit while i deal with them then fine. Like drops, drops cost a medivac with gas, and the medivac count for terran is extremely important late game, 100 gas isn't something you can throw away either, so drops are like a risk, if it pulls off, you do damage and fly away, if you don't, you lose a bunch of infantry and a 100 gas unit that is needed later on in the game. Whereas with hellions, unless they don't get behind the mineral line then they are 100% of the time cost effective.
People argue that they lose the hellions in an attack. Well sure, if I could make a bunch of units for 100 minerals each which auto killed a bunch of scv's and prevented you from mining for a good 10-15 seconds then i'll take that damn unit thank you very much. I'm not sure there's many players that wouldn't sack 1 hellion per worker, 50 minerals per worker, plus the time its not mining, instantly cost effective.
^^, plz - try to do helion harass against a player such as stephano -- i played against him on the ladder aswell -- he wont let you breathe until he swarms you -- all drops get locked down with 4 queens focus fireing the medic while speedlings on creep swarm everything getting off the medic --- Destiny is simply worse at countering helions - not to mention that xel'naga is extremely hard to defend against helions on compared to other maps due to the spread out natural ,... talking about cost effectiveness is irrelevant since it has to be seen in context with the time passing by ingame after/while haveing build a helion, which means that unless you use this time for something useful and fail to do damage the zerg gets ahead -- so perhaps they're cost effective if getting in the mineral line - but time passes by in the meantime which is not a ressource to be thrown away. so considering some zergs actually know the importance of ONLY defending their mineral lines and some try to do fancy stuff next to it is the difference in skill.
rofl this zerg is soooooooooo fail. 5 bases vs barely 3 base zerg. that's when you KNOW your bade. zerg needs to rethink life.

Destiny didn't even get roaches until after two waves of hellions did significant damage. He played really bad, don't even try to read into it.
i wish protoss had superunits as fast as hellions for harrass
Dont forget: EmpireKas is one of the top players on the planet. Destiny cant match him.
Destiny was curious about defending hellions w.o spine crawlers. If he made 1 more in the right spot all of the harass would have never existed.
I would say Destiny lost fair and sq. But Kas just did the same thing over and over & without a caster making the action seem better. This is pathetic almost laughable strategy to see kas do. Its better that Destiny lost this game. This is one of those stupid games where your opponent does something so stupid you would be wasting your time trying to counter it.
If you watch other Destiny games, you will see that he can handle early pressure from Hellions and BF Hellions. However, in those games, the other player, after losing several rounds of hellions will transition to another unit composition.
In this game, it was non-stop, well micro'ed stream of bf hellions. The first two waves did an excellent job stopping mining and caused Destiny to over mine his main the entire game. Also, with a few exceptions, the marines did a great job sniping infestors and being annoying.
I really wish Destiny would have watched the replay. I would have liked to have seen what Kas timings were on the factories and barracks.

Destiny should watch some Idra hellion defense; say whatever you want against that guy but his hellion defense is just awesome. destiny whined that he sim citied and still the hellions were effective, but his first spine was out of position (redundant to build a choke for zerglings/queen to cover and then throw a spine there too, when the spine could've covered his backside) and he let hellions into his main multiple times when he could've planted roaches/queens on the ramp.
you don't need to change strat if you are so much better than your opponent that they never stop your initial strat.
you have to play WAY better than that as zerg if you aren't going to go muta and take map control.
