Sheth vs PuMa

PumA is a PoS player. Terran is carrying him.

Banshees are insanely OP, I mean even the people that don't talk about balance from a professional stand point have said 'Banshees are imba'.

Terran, when winning with skill is too hard.



You're actually witnessing a professional-grade punishment of "the Sheth build" - getting 6 or 7 roaches immediately after expo/pool and pushing the Terran's ramp. He does this as a blind counter to the hellion build everyone uses, and it usually works out fine. This time, Puma meta-gamed him and blind countered HIS build - insta-loss. Sheth's build has a big fat hole in it, so why does he rely on a blind counter build? Because Terran is unscoutable until lair tech so you're actually always playing blind anyway, this particular build just happens to be better against the build you see 90% of the time

Does that mean Puma's even a Code A quality player? No, he's a tacky meta-gaming clown. But Sheth isn't exactly a straight-up player, either

Rewatching the game, I realize Sheth would have never gotten an ovie in far enough to scout that starport.

So annoying how fast terran can tech to a cloaked flying unit.



blah, blah - couldn't have gotten an ovie in, etc. it's just whining for zergs that cut too many corners.
good zergs normally have one of the following:
1. a good scout with overlord (not always possible before lair, obviously)
2. lair tech - so overseer in case banshee
3. a couple spores (if you suspect basnhee) to buy time because you don't have any idea what this 1 base terran is doing!

If you don't do one of those 3, then you're taking a major gamble. 2 is obviously the easiest. you can't just leave lair tech forever if they obviously have hidden tech
