IdrA vs Stephano

the craken goes for an early gg. stephano rolls him with roach. It was close, but stepano always seemed to have edge tactically. Nice use of analysis post game, a good addition to casting tools. thanks ipp!

Stephano is just good with his tactics. No doubt.

But I also enjoyed it, that IdrA was able to stay ahead, both in drones and supply, even in spite of the many successful offensive moves Stephano made. Incredible mechanics! :)



Nice cast, nice post-game analysis, but caster should focus more on production (at least let the menu on production rather than units or army lost)



@Supergui I'll try to leave the production tab up. I almost never look at the production tab so after a run by or something, I tend to forget to turn it back.

My style is slightly different then most casters because I try to show why players do things. For instance in Game 1, most commentators would talk about IdrA making muta's and say how Stephano could be in trouble. I saw IdrA going muta's and talked about Stephano's scoutings and him preparing for it by recalling his overlords, getting evo chamber, etc. I believe this game he saw early double gas at natural and then 2 extra spines being built a little bit later.

I feel the issue isn't the production tab being up but it is the viewers trust in the caster. There are a lot more color casters than analytical so the production tab is a must. It's a similar issue for when people make the switch from watching player streams and casting streams. People want the health bars on everything 24/7 but over time they learned to trust the caster to click on the important units or box area's with fungal/storm to highlight the health of important things.



I like how one month ago, Idra called Stephano the most overrated Zerg.



Stephano is the most overrated Zerg, even if he can beat the second most overrated one. Idra's builds are almost always the precise, hyper-practiced standard, but then he's liable to throw it all away for no reason, like in Game 2 where he moves before he maxes, doesn't collect all his units for the attack, walks into a surround, fights vs crawlers, etc... and then just gives up. The other side of the coin is that Stephano went for +2/+2 tunneling claw roaches, which suck and Idra was almost able to just a-move through it



Haters gonna hate but that was a very nice Z v Z strat execution by Stephano. Completely shut Idra down.

Stephano is my favorite zerg. Overrated or not, he is still awesome. That queen micro at the end of game 1 was just ridiculous.



Please keep the production tab active as much as possible, just pop to units/income from time to time.




They had even supply, and Idra had higher quality units (hydra vs roach). Wtf...



Turn up the volume! ;) It's not like the game is too loud, but I'd rather say the voice is too low.
