I was hoping for some "OMG P OP AND Z OP" whine from MKP fans, guess I'll just have to come back later. :(

Such excellent play from Alicia.
I think MKP underestimated him a little in game 1. Game 2 was just perfect execution.

Jokes aside, sick games. Glad to see Alicia winning; he was impressive when he first came into the scene but kind of fell to the sidelines for a while. Awesome :)

Ok so here is the deal, I was at MLG Anaheim for this match. MKP though I love him the fame has gotten to his head a bit and he is a bit too cocky. What you could see at mlg was the his screen casted seperately as well as the main cast.

Before this game Alicia was like meditating and getting himeself mentally prepared, mkp was screwing around on websites and actually wasn't ready for the start of the first game because he was alt tabbing to paste on like he korean twitter.

also he kept going into settigs during the game without pausing and adjusting audio and video settings. see that part where he almost lost his scv building his rack? he was in the menus at that time.

Generally his play also reflected this as well, not making ghosts when he know he needed them. just figuring he could handle it ...

in the game with drg that he lost he reorted in an interview that he woke up late and only got there a few minutes before the game start, the game was at like friggin 2PM. i realize jet lag, but every other korean player was able to get there on time...

he needs to get his act together and get more serious about his game.

Yeah MKP has gotten too cocky. Hopefully the last couple performances will get that in check.
@ him not making ghosts, he quite often avoids making them, this is certainly not the first time. It's another pride thing, just like how he (and a few other korean terrans) are all I WILL NEVER MAKE A PLANETARY lol

I heard he's been really worn out in general for the last month or so (he even skipped a tournament because of this). But all players have to deal with a lot so I'm not sure that's an excuse.



for the love of god, someone please give us an alternative to mlg.tv..
i wish they would just stick with youtube, it works on all platforms

Wow I didn't expect Alicia to win. But he held well and exploited the holes in MKP's play. So yeah great win and he deserved it.

Don't know what it is but I have always problems on this site with ad's. Everytime the movie won't load at all, because some video ad won't load. If it does load, watching a game, halfway suddenly screen turns black (because its loading an another video ad, with some bad scripting). I have to refresh the page, click the movie again and forced to watch the video ad again.. Fackayou dolfiiin..



I have chrome with adblock on and the problems are reduced to a minimum. I've heard in other comments that firefox w/ adblock also works fine.

I can't tell if you're trolling or really that dumb. MKP went gas first to try hellion/marauder aggression. It did decent, but MKP pushed it too far and lost a lot of units on the retreat. Alicia had started with blink tech and already had pylons on the map: that helped Alicia further whittle down MKP's army. Alicia then tried to bust MKP's front and almost made it work but MKP played well, used some counter-aggression and defended. This doesn't necessarily mean that MKP is ahead. MKP was stuck in his base. MKP had no map control. Alicia was able to expand.

Alicia, knowing that MKP was only on one base and using mules to supplement his lacking SCV count, chose DTs because Alicia knew it would strain MKP's economy and micro even further. Beyond that, you have to give Alicia credit for some amazing DT micro, simultaneously delaying the 2nd orbital from landing AND stopping a missile turret from being built. Not to take away all credit from MKP--it was great to watch hellions snipe almost every single transferring probe. However, actually having two bases made it much easier to replenish probe numbers.

HOST1L1TY is probably right: MKP didn't seem to be on his A-game. I still thought both games were good. Very fun to watch.



This is some of the best SC2 games ever.
