Not to take anything away from HuK and Puma, but I can't help but feel that the situation would have been different if SlayerS had sent in their best players.

Stupidest SC2 neologism: "To DPS sth down".
What does it even mean? "He's damage per seconding down the hatchery"? Gimme a break.

To "DPS" something down implies to use a unit's high DPS to take a target down quickly. It's an apt term often applied to Terran. Watching a handful of stimmed Marines & Marauders "DPS" down a Hatch or Nexus in seconds game after game probably is the reason the term was originated.

I believe it originates in the difference between normal attacks and spellcasters. Many spells, such as the Yamato cannon, do a fixed amount of damage once, as opposed to marines which do a continual fixed DPS. The term makes sense in DOTA, for example, as tons of heroes and teams rely on burst damage over DPS to kill. Here, given that the most meaningful damage spells (fungal and psy storm) both do DPS as well, the term has no real place in SC2.
