WP by Stephano, I guess, but man there is a deeply stupid balance problem here
Love that kid
the only "deeply stupid balance problems" were the supply and resources, which were both owned by stephano.
huk played from behind in both games because his "special tactics" didn't work well enough and stephano could ramp up the econ.
@Yabbadabbadoo Comment based on poor insight
Give Stephano the credit due. Imagine, This young pro-gamer is at the early stage of his career.
I too am confused by the "balance problem" statement. ZvP is a matchup complained about very heavily by both sides... perhaps BOTH races are overpowered over each other!!?
Comment #3 is quite accurate, and even so the games both went very long. Really hard to cite these games as examples of balance issues, they were more much examples of super multitasking and gamesense, and in the end came very close.
Yeah, Stephano must have been playing Zerg like a mastermind to have supply and resource advantages over Protoss - there isn't a derpy enough herp for the herp in that derp.
It is impossible to take a third without A. getting overwhelmed B. letting Zerg take the whole map and tech to infestor/broodlord, which beats just about everything. Mass gateway units lost in game 1, DT expand lost in game 2, Colossus gets owned by spire, high templars get owned by roaches, etc. etc. etc. If a Protoss does so much damage off 2 bases that he can start expanding safely while building up a huge army he can win. Kiwikaki vs Stephano in the IPL had a classic game in which Stephano botched the early game to let Kiwikaki get onto 3 bases and the game became competitive. But it's still insanely easy for a Zerg to cripple a P in the process of taking a third while gaining a massive eco/tech lead.
If that was all too complicated and you'd prefer something more concrete, the October GSL win rate PvZ was 15%, and 4 Protoss were demoted and 1 Protoss was promoted (and MC will be seeded from MLG). There is a balance problem.
personally i don't know anything about balance and i couldn't care less. those were two fantastic and entertaining games to watch.
Great games, Stephano outplayed Huk.
Not a single high templar or colossus in a game where the map was mined out. Maybe there was some room for improvement after all...
But I guess it's easier to just cry imba.
Stop crying about imbalance. Stephano clearly outplayed Huk.
"His manner hatch might finish actually" -- funniest comment by doa. The rest of his casting was s***.
Yabbadabbadoo bro i think i smell zealot cock on your breath??
Incredibly series!
I wanted to see 3/3/2 void rays win :(((
no balance issue, just great play by both of those players.
Really sad to see Stephano forget about Adrenal Glands until so very very late in game 2.
